Oh, so they're hyping up the new champion by having him snipe existing champions. You know how much I hate snipers? By virtue of simply existing they're more annoying than Draven. Add in bullshit game mechanics and the obligatory '1337' arrogance that typifies them, and there's damn near nothing I hate more.

This comment is an Ace in The Hole But any way. If they make a more snipe-ish champ than Caitlyn, which is kind not that snipe-ish as people let it show, i would love to see a full fledged sniper, being very immovable and have godanm range.

We don't really know that the new champ is a sniper: all we ever see is the already "dead" champion after a sound explosion and some weird after-effects (flowers or light), not to mention that we already have Caitlyn as the quint-essential sniper champion and as much as Riot can run out of ideas they will not repeat a champion theme so blatantly.
My guess is that this new champion will be an assassin like Zed and Evelynn, using some kind of surprise element and explosion after he deals the combo. Even if he does end up turning into a sniper, he will still be an assassin instead of a marksman.
But then again, I am just guessing so I could be wrong.
