What did we see coming? (I admit I have nothing to do with the DQ series)
10 years ago Jessica was not a romance option despite having numerous scenes regarding her that allowed you to reply to questions. The replies had no baring beyond the scenes in which they were played, but you wouldn't learn this until you'd played the game thoroughly. People were disappointed as you might expect.
With the 3DS remake however, Jessica has had some new scenes added, and is a full fledged love interest that the Hero can marry if you choose to pursue her. This is the first piece of fanart on this site that depicts her in her wedding dress. Only took 6 months for the fanart to appear...and 10 years for the option to be provided.
