Eh, she's the Fleet Commander now. She's always been basically nice to the foreign shipgirls under her command. Remember how she fed everyone who got homesick?

ido's Nagato is also more level-headed than most other artists' version of her (birii's is another Nagato that actually acts like the leader of a fleet). So her taking care of the newcomer is actually nothing strange at all =3

I can hardly call holding the chopsticks that way was "fine". If memories serve, not once had I seen anyone holding them like that to eat.

Exactly. Looks more like she's using them like a fork. Not that you could really eat these using chopsticks like a fork, only the egg maybe.
