Thanks; I mentally filled in the start of the word as 化け, when it's actually 化か, and that's a crucial difference.

My own inclination would be to take her home.

not to mention when Ran doesnt come home she'd worry herself sick about what happened and upon finding out what happened...
and can you imagine how poor little Ran would react to being kidnapped? could you really put her through that?
