    This works in both ways, to prank someone or to call dibs for a carbonated drink. To deactivate, just give light taps to all sides of the container so the high pressured bubbles detach and float to the surface where they won't expand and cause a pressure leak once the container is opened.

    Of course, but the number of finger taps needed is a matter of trial an error. So be cautious. For a 600ml bottle 8 taps was enough (twice in 4 points around the bottle). It's easier to do in bottles as you can quickly close the lid if more taps are needed.

    With finger taps I mean finger flicks.
