they're not expensive outside events so long as you have air superiority or higher, which in this case he doesn't.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who never had any problems with having enough bauxite.

Me neither. All my daily and some weekly stuff has been done with only submarines. I only lost bauxite when developing/constructing nor when I need five or less 2-2 victories in half an hour. The quest rewards and regen take care of bauxite piling up slowly. So far 40,000 has been enough for an event, but I have my doubts now with the new land base system.
