Armor is pretty thick on that one.

Probably should have gotten gear upgrades along with the training. If not the Ultima Weapon and Death Penalty then at least a tier higher than the Buster Sword and Quicksilver.

Japanese beetles are scary after all. Armor and attack power greater than most.

Seems they spent a few years underground,then live as adult for a few months,so no on both still alive and this year's guy being the last year's kid.
That said,they got their ass kick by some beetle this the next strip,though.
