All the event past 3 years with all voice mute option, I think its a bit... Out of place to implement this feature now. Though that "sakusen" voice could be pretty tiring to the ear when grinding drops for 50-100+ runs

That option only and only mute Ooyodo's voice in quest and event sortie page.
They might as well rename the option as "Shut up Ooyodo!" option.

SHE TALKS!? I thought she only ever say "Good work" as a way of "fuck you" whenever you go to the quest menu and can't do any of the quests. I didn't even know they had her say anything outside of that.

She will provide you with event briefing, as well as congratulates you when you clears event maps. A very recent addition actually.

Frankly speaking, the shipgirls having idle chat with the admiral is perhaps the only reason why I still play this game.
