Azuki beans are actually quite delicious and pleasantly sweet.
I've never gotten to try ice cream in that flavor. Hope to someday.
My dad back in the 1970s once tried a red bean popsicle in Taiwan. It was a hot, muggy summer day and he was seeing people everywhere enjoying these "grape" popsicles. When he finally got one, he was going to enjoy his grape treat, and then he bit into it. It was red bean. And he was completely disappointed. :D
