What an interesting combination... significant sexual assets plus very-not-charismatic swirly glasses. Jin is like the Japan of Japan in his absurdity. It's only mildly absurd, so it doesn't go all the way like classic Japan (thinking Ao Usagi here), but it is such that the regular clichés get messed with in unanticipated ways.

So, really, on the sliding scale from Western sensibility to Japanese absurd, it's 5 feet at 90 degrees off in a third dimension from about 3/4 of the way to Japanese absurd. Which is quite weird in ways that we normally cannot appreciate without knowing what that 3/4 point is... [technobabble continues]

It's a rarity nowadays, but a cute girl with glasses like that are 150% guaranteed to take their glasses off for an "ugly pretty girl" scene.
