Agreed. I rather live life than be a zombie. I never touched alcohol my entire life (well, except for utility like a solvent). Alcohol is a narcotic like all else. If you want to pick up bimbos in a bar, why not stay sober (play it off with water or something else) so you can enjoy it? Then again, most girls at night clubs looking for one night stands look so ragged even with all the makeup and surgery, you might need to be dead drunk or desperate to even want to touch that.

I prefer moderation. Nothing super strong, if my friends are enjoying with stuff, I'm the square with a beer and all the car keys.XD
Moderation is key when dealing with alcoholic drinks. I've yet to have beer, but one thing for sure is that I like the flavor of wine over that of whiskey or brandy. Then again, the kind of whiskey we have over here is pretty... piss poor, for lack of better word. (No pun intended.)
Then again, I don't drink much anyway. Maybe two glasses of wine a year, four glasses max. Gimme another glass of that cola, please.

Maybe I would drink alcohol in moderation except I am asian, so my threshold is probably sober or hammered. That, and I used to carry a firearm for work and still do for personal protection so in my mind it would be irresponsible for me to do anything that would impair my mind in the slightest. Ironically if I were to drink, the thing I want to have is low taste, cheap (relative), vodka. While a distilled spirit may be the exact opposite choice for one with low tolerance, I imagine it would be very tasty with gamey deer cutlets. Or it might be a ticket to a night-long session of praying to the porcelain god.

The type of alcohol is irrelevant. When Pola gets drunk, she starts to shed clothing.

Two years late, but it was definitely English steel in the beginning. She was built by Vickers Ltd. in Barrow-in-Furness, which had a thriving steel industry. Her armour in particular used Vickers Cemented steel.
Her sister ships mostly used local Japanese steel (likely made with imported Swedish pig iron or Manchurian iron ores). I'm not entirely sure abut their armor; some sources mention they use Krupp Cemented steel, some mention they use a locally-modified variation of KC steel, and some others mention Haruna and Kirishima use (locally-produced, under license, adhering to the original specifications) VC steel while KC steel was used for Hiei.
