I don't have I-401, so I still don't know about the benefits of a Prototype Seiran. However I'm guilty of doing something similar to Sendai who gets stripped of all night equipment most of the time. The second next is Akitsumaru, those ASW equipment get switched on CV/CVL and BBV a lot.

I don't think Sendai minds losing her support equipment if it means gaining a weapon.

If you want equipment-removing misery, just ask Isuzu.
