I'm reminded of the part in Monster Musume no Iro Ichijou where the gang all went out shopping in the market, and all the butchers started panicking and hiding the meat out of fear of causing an inter-species incident while the main character shouted, "It's OK! They eat fish and chicken!"
That crab that's being eaten seems a different species than the one Oboro is friends with... would they really feel sorry for those other species? People might generally think of crabs as all the same, but taxonomically, they're a suborder, so it's more like a human seeing a dead monkey being eaten.(.. by crabs?) Many crabs are scavengers, so it's not like there aren't crabs that wouldn't eat dead crabs of other species when they had the chance.

A crab's favorite food is crab, right? I mean, it's not as bad as lobsters (PINCHY!), but cannibalism is common among a lot of crab species as well.

I'm afraid the problem is that they cooked the pet-crab alongside the food-crab, you can see the same water and steam coming out of crabby that you can see on the crab pieces.

Nice eye, didn't notice it until you wrote that. I have to say, for some reason, seeing her crying like that makes grin like a fool. I can't help but wonder if this is what sadism feels like?
