This should be obvious logically, but for someone who is used to not drawing below the ankles most of the time, they may not realize that you can't use the same techniques to draw a hand to draw a foot. Ironically, drawing a foot usually requires a lot less detail than drawing a hand, so trying to draw this way is both wrong and making things harder than they should be.
