I don't think she's too naive to recognise what love is. I believe it's more about her being too naive to understand that there are certain actions/states of dress/etc. that are not appropriate for women, i.e. she's naive in sexual/erotic matters rather than romantic ones. She did get embarrassed by him calling her cute, after all, so she has some sense in that matter.
