    Artist: Roberto Campus

    This piece was done as a cover for Star Wars Insider, the official Star Wars fan magazine. The art director wanted the image to be an homage to the famous Days of Future Past cover from Uncanny X-Men #141 drawn by John Byrne.

    Star Wars canon says she's still alive. They filmed two scenes of her being killed, but they changed their minds and let he live.

    She has to die before Return of the Jedi though.

    And what do you mean "timeline"? Why does Star Wars need a time-line all of the sudden? Star Wars didn't used to have a time-line, it had a history spanning 20,000 years, most of it still unwritten.

    She's to appear in the Mandalorean at some point. She has a promise to keep to find Ezra. She is likely dead before the events of The Rise of Skywalker. She was missing for most of the Original Trilogy, needing to find her way back from a Sith world, judging by the artwork, via portals/the realm between worlds. She seems to be taking on the role of Gandalf of sorts post-Return of the Jedi. She is no Jedi, but the remaining Jedi could learn a thing of two from her before she becomes one with the Force. She would be roughly in her 40s by the Mandalorean.

    Timeline is young, as in the existence of the new post-Return of the Jedi canon. That and Ahsoka as a character is only about 12 years old (The Clone Wars came out in 2008, if I recall). Her final fate is unknown, but she is assumed to be one with the Force by TROS. It is likely it was earlier than that, probably before The Force Awakens, otherwise the Resistance would have tried to get her involved, even if she was in her 60s. And Luke should have at least had some opportunity to talk to her. He knows of her at the very least, and she would be an excellent source for stories about his father (aside from hearing them directly from Force Ghost Anakin).

    It's like they're trying to follow the letter of Yoda's words in RotJ, while skirting the spirit in it's entirety. That Luke was *it*. Not only for the Jedi, but for the future of the galaxy. Now Luke isn't special.

    Oh, and you want stories about Anakin? Hello? Obi-wan Kenobi, the man who raised him? Or R2D2, who practically never left Anakin's side? Both of those characters should know Anakin far better than Ahsoka.

    They didn't want to kill her because she's popular, she's the pet character of one of the big shots left at Lucasfilm, and she's prime Mary Sue material to feed the psychotic feminists.

    Also, my god not wanting to kill a character because she's popular and they still have a story they could use her for my god how unusual. Oh and using her to feed "psychotic feminists" if you really think that you might want to consider therapy because you might have issues you need to deal with.

    He's like this all the time, I don't think anyone on this site complains about female characters, and remakes apparently, as much as he does.
