    If Rinnosuke is clearly the protagonist, Aya can definitely be considered the deuteragonist (as well as the main butt monkey), so it's kinda natural that she gets to be the one giving chocolate to Kourin.

    Hidefu-san refers to her as the "heroine (bakemono)" (with that exact mix of Japanese and English). Make of that what you will.
