2395 荒天のため門扉を損傷した第127号輸送艦 〔昭和19年4月3日, 横須賀, 横廠撮影〕
3月27日, 特2式内火艇10両等を搭載して館山を出撃, 南方に向かう途中, 風速28mの荒天に遭遇して門扉が脱落し, 横須賀に帰投した際の撮影。SB艇は船形の関係上, どうしても凌波性の不足を避けられなかった。

On March 27th, on its mission from Tateyama carrying 10 Type 2 Ka-Mis and etc., the vessel encountered a storm with wind speeds of 28 m (about 55 knots) on its way to the southern sea. The bow door dropped out in this storm. The photograph was taken when it returned to Yokosuka. As a result of its shape, the SB craft was unable to escape its lack of sea kindliness.
