Yeah, I almost don't drive, but I had to take the shotgun seat and help sleepy drivers remain conscious while traveling between cities on multiple occasions. It's pretty damn scary, especially when you're drowsy yourself, since the monotonous road picture is like a damn lullaby.
When your home country is so big that each state/province/prefecture have very noticeable cultural/behavioral differences, something like this happens.
