Or rather, "Town of Salem" is just the Werewolf game (or Mafia game, for that matter) with more rules added on so as to keep the game fresh for people who got tired of the more basic set of rules.
A "guess the human game" has started.

Lately, a game that started in a corner of Kourindou has become popular. It is called "Human". The organizer is not herself human, but is the "werewolf" Ms Imaizumi Kagerou. She took a game concept that the proprietor of Kourindou had heard a little about from a visitor from the Outside World, and created a Gensokyo-style arrangement that you could say is an entirely new game.
But what makes this game so talked about, even more than its novelty, is the irony of the concept. The rules are as follows. From a group of multiple people, one selects in advance one who will play the role of a "human" who has transformed into a youkai, and then through discussion the group tries to uncover who the "human" is. Then everyone eats the players in the order that they become suspects. The game feels extremely refreshing.
"I wanted someone to chat with in my spare time, so I asked Kourindou-san for advice, and he taught me this game".
We asked some people who have actually participated in the game for their impressions. "I was eaten straight away, so I couldn't really take part in the game". "I gained some appreciation of what it must be like to be a food item". "It made me feel hungry", were some positive comments.
