Was Hibiki/Verniy used as a training ship after being acquired by the Soviets? If so, it's pretty likely that they met in real life as well.

Only if they took her from the Pacific. I don't think Gangut left the Baltic Sea.

Hibiki/Verniy was scuttled outside Vladivostok, so she never left the pacific. Gangut too, never left the Baltic, as the different fleets in Russia were designed to be autonomous (not dependent on transfers from other bases, it was very difficult to transfer ships between fleets)

With that in mind, which girls are the most traveled? Iowa, surely. Warspite has been all over the place as well. Eugen traveled half way around the world to reach Crossroads. The german subs and Kongo had to reach Japan.

Iowa due to her long service years in various theaters from the 40s to the 50s and than later the 80s (New Jersey were be even longer I think, since she was in service during the 60s) Warspite possibly due to her having a similar situation for the British Empire. She was almost literally everywhere during the war at some point.
