Hey, if you think that humans suck and should go extinct, like Medicine does, then...wait, no, the logic still doesn't make sense.

But hey, she's basically a little kid in Youkai terms, so...

Never understood why some of the residents think so lowly of humans that they all need to die. Wouldn't the mass extinction of humanity cause a Butterfly Effect that affects their way of life? It's like killing all rats: Eliminate an important member of the food chain and it throws the ecosystem off-balance.

I think it's more, that she was treated badly but one or two humans (considering her origin) so it's easier to blame the race as a whole then to try and understand the complexities of human nature.

Anyway, that's taking Medicine's statement/notion further than she actually means it. Medicine isn't out just to indiscriminately kill all humans, she just wants people to respect/fear poison ("as they should"). There's an interpretation of youkai as those who punish human hubris, keeping their ambitions in check with a ("proper") dose of fear for the uncertain. Add to this that many youkai literally need human fear to survive, and there's a good reason why, on an abstract level, she should be concerned that humans can take something that is supposed to make them fear the unknown, and make them more confident in their mastery over nature.

The notion of people who go around eating poison for fun, or who can turn poison's intended purpose around into medicine offends her, as someone whose identity is tied with poison and causing fear within humans.

Maybe I should have specified that I was taking what she said to an extreme for comedic effect. Also, regardless of the content of their conversation, I would say the overall tone is still easygoing.
