For this painting, I wanted to challenge myself to try a pose that is very different from what I have done before.
I wanted to try something with movement, to fit Vanille's cheery/bouncy character. I'm not completely happy with how everything turned out, but I feel like I learned a lot in the process.

I am a big fan of Lightning, and I definitely plan to paint her in the future. But Vanille doesn't get as much fan art love, so I thought I would start with her. =)
