Let alone that. How much force is needed to get a perfectly cut diamond. That and the "flying so fast I travel back in time" from the first Superman movies got my head scratching for decades. How is that even possible pool?

According to this paper it takes >17kbar of pressure to change graphite into diamond under room temperature (~25℃). Which is higher than inside of Nagato's water-tube engines, but not unachievable by current technology. (1 bar = 100,000 Pa, which is roughly equivalent to typical atmospheric pressure)

Yup. The extra armor, FP, and fit bonuses are nice but honestly she's just gone from being an inferior choice to Warspite to being an inferior choice to Iowa.

Also Mutsu is incorrect. An admiral like Togo leads from the front of the line. Mikasa lead the Japanese line at Tsushima.

I think you mean Royal Navy.
That's more of a British line that was taken by some Imperial Guard commanders.

Which isn't bad considering not everyone has access to Iowa. I think it's fine to have ships like this that are strong but not as strong as event exclusive ones. It lets newer players still have access to strong ships if they weren't playing when an event took place, or were unable to complete it.

Standard fleet transport mission where you want a battleship so you get enough shots to guarantee an A or S rank, but an AP shell would be overkill?

If we are talking about in the context of the game and gameplay, anti-installation purposes? We know daihatsus and its tank variants have bonuses against installation enemies.

In the current Winter 2022 event E-5 uses Nagato with all four slots full of tanks and daihatsu to nuke the various installation himes.
