Oh, I get it. It's because the different wish implies she lost interest in becoming a battleship. From there, the equation in Musashi's head probably went as follows:

You are just being negative there.

It's kind of heart warming knowing a child have a kind of dream, something they want to be, even if it's pretty much impossible. But well, since that's not how it turned out, *shrug* it's just not heart warming, not necessarily bad.
