Except you forget that Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien's story is remarkably similar to that of School Days: Boy and Girl fall in love, and then Girl's Friend falls for same Boy, thus drama ensues. It's not out of the question that it refers to School Days.
The only question would be why Akane is in there doing the murdering.
