with GameFreak's inability to remember their own lore sometimes , it makes me wonder how much time it will pass until they stop to waste this kind of oportunities.

Yellow's not from Gamefreak though, she's from alternate canonity of Pokemon Adventures (which by far, not canon)

But now with the recent implementation of multiverses in USUM, it's possible that we can meet characters from different series.
