She burns the house down to smoke the spectators up the hill and block the Black Forest detachment's path. I think this scene is the best scene that shows just how good Erika's character is; to protect the spectators while also clearing up the road, Erika shouts at them to ride on Black Forest's tanks. At the end of the match, Erika loses but she gains the spectators' respect. Not to mention her reaction to the lose is to keep up that proud face characteristic of the school. Koume also proves her mettle in this match.
So while the match is the Centipede's victory, Black Forest still wins.
