Reminds me of the famous chess game with death in Ingmar Bergmans "The Seventh Seal".

because the first comic about these grim reaper stated that if a dying person's soul isn't collected yet then they just won't die and could still walk around, my guess is that by the time they already settled the match, the guy might walked home already
