In a way, the idea of Mokou eventually mellowing out to Kaguya to even developing feelings for her makes some sense.

Then again, considering the fact that Kaguya is responsible for Mokou’s dad’s death, it’s kind of unlikely.

Kaguya dispensed a much worse fate than death to Mokou's father -- public humiliation. Familial honor was kind of a big deal in 8th century Japan.

Remember, folks, that Mokou's dad tried to propose to Kaguya with a fake Branch.
