I actually liked the first season. Sure it wasn't hardcore or really comedic like most pools here are, but I think it was cute enough and served well to interest existing fans and draw fans.

My comment was more in fear of a freak accident where something goes horribly wrong in writing the script or something like there was a conflict in execution. I try not to have too high expectations for anything involving artistic interpretations.

Let it go, Bukky, and let someone else have the spotlight now.

The anime exists in a weird sorta limbo for me. Good enough to be fun and rewatchable but also, you know, bad. There were a lot of creative decisions that I didn't necessarily agree with but just seeing animated shipgirls is fine at the end of the day.

I started playing KC after watching the anime. So, yeah. It wasn't great but it was fun.

Fubuki's VA would only have one ship left (historically speaking) by that point in the war, Uranami. Which sank due to aircraft from "Taffy 2" on the 26th of October 1944.
