Wow, I think those cows really have brought her into the herd. Then again, the way he was reaching might make anyone, man or beast, a bit suspect.

Doesn't that hurt though? A headbutt from a cow?

Depends on how much room the cow has to move. A cow actually charging you with any significant speed is life-threatening since they can (literally) weigh a ton. A cow that's in a pin (which these appear to be) and can only move its head and neck can barely do more than nuzzle you.

They definitely have. I always like when we get a second look at a new girl.

Although they are in pens, I just imagined a cow doing the 'stand up before ramming' move that male mountain goats/bighorn sheep do; this would explain why farm boy just flew off.

I don't know why but I think Himura make this strip as counter for a comic that went viral days ago in twitter, creeated by japanese vegan which illustrated cows are treated badly in farm. Maybe I'm just overthinking.

That explains why my Twitter feed for a while was filled with cow pics, particular ones where a dude punch the cow.

It could be just that Himura's twitter feed was full of cow pics when he was trying to think of a theme for this week's offering, and it reminded him of the time he drew a girl working on a dairy farm. Inspired by the meme, but not necessarily intended as a direct response to it.

Added the commentary tweets. I hope the second one is properly translated; I basically borrowed Dankanemitsu's own translation here since it made the most sense.

... Also, if anyone can double-check my translation of the previous post's commentary, I would greatly appreciate it.

PS: We should probably start debating what to call this girl in case Himura decides to give her more appearances in the future. How about "Nyuugyuu-chan", from 乳牛 (lit. "diary cow"), in reference to both her job and the fact that the cows she looks after have adopted her as their "little sister"?

That's why I'm saying maybe just overthinking. It can be just coincidence after all.
