am I stupid or is she holding the binoculars the wrong way round?
I did find a few examples online of binoculars with small lenses facing outwards. Another key point is the lenses, which are on the outside of the frame on the part facing outwards. If it was backwards, then then lenses would be on the inside of the frame instead.
