The Round Table excluded chicks for the most part --- unless in supplication to right some wrong, requesting a spare knight to slay an oppressor; and that little lad doesn't look as if he's doing that.

Girlish sure, but in Victorian art especially many Knights were that way; and still as capable as any less frail peer. Assume the gray-haired chap is Arthur, and the fellow with the wand, Merlin.

Anyway, it's a very fine painting.
