Definitely part of the current events pool. These fires are the one of the worst disasters Australia has seen in years. If this doesn't wake people up to the fact that climate change is real and this is to be the expected consequences, then I don't know what will.

Because it's not just climate change. There's too many variables to blame just climate change.
Yes, climate change is a partial factor, but not the absolute cause. Australia's natural arid geography and the weather variability from the Indian Ocean and Antarctica are also factors.

Its going to take a lot more than this to convince people of change on that scale.
