Unless you whale or you're really dedicated, it's a good main hand. Considering other good spears are limited, Grand, GW, and Ultima, I'd appreciate it. If I even use spear, that is.
It's just that despite the spear being designed around Cavalier's mechanics, it has wonky synergy with the class in a way that the counter-on-damage buff (1 time) from the charge attack will still consume 'Noble Purpose buff' without actually increasing the maximum number of counter hits to 4 times.
