    They ought to watch out for her trying to run. She might be resistant to settling in, as drastic a change to the status quo it is. Wouldn't want to get comfortable, only to have the rug pulled out from under her again. Grateful to be sure, but to risk the embrace of a new happiness, only to have it snatched away? It'd kill her.

    Enough to live. That's the most she'd dare to hope for.
