I thought they worked this way when I was a kid. It just seems so much more badass. Even moreso if there's an RPG or flame thrower in the middle.

Actually, considering how obscenely fast miniguns fire, it's possible that the barrel flare remains as the barrel spins.

It shoots 200 rounds of knives per minute.
