That's just nipple armor I'll bet. To keep them from chafing on the underside of that fur bikini.

In all actualality a majority of the female armr in mnster hunter is cooler than its male cunter part.

But yeah, it's obvious that the design team spent a lot more time on female armor. They actually look slick, while most armor on male characters just look overly bulky and/or spiky.
