One of main trouble with Gundam SEED Destiny was that there was a motherload of interesting characters and the series initially tried to tie them all into the storyline deeply as well as developing their character to some extent at least.
The problem with Gundam 00 is that there are a decent number of interesting characters but except for a handful of them very few were allowed to develop as characters.
Almost as if in the middle of the second season somebody decided to just give up wrap everything without caring about anything else.
As for the movie. What antagonists are left to fight anyway?
