It still meaningless to change Asuka's name after over 14-15 years now. Also Mari has a air about her like now it's time for my debut putting Asuka and Rei aside.

She looks overworked and out of place in comparison to those two. Granted Rei and Asuka had a 15 year headstart and thus has more of mark on the animedom consciousness, so it's unfair to compare her to them...but still, it looks like they did everything imaginable to make her 'new' and 'fresh' by giving her alot of crap that the others don't have or needed. I agree with Kayako, she looks like a Mary Sue.
Well, while she doesn't, why not calling her Mari-Sue?

Okay, I'm just kidding. But nice to see Rebuild is trying to take off some sadder parts, and give a new hope. But yet, Asuka's name change, and friggin ILLUSTRIOUS are some pet-peeves.
