It's 'Impostor'. Surely they have the ability to change colors as needed. Gamewise it would never work given we have voicechat, but in this case it can be considered canon via gameplay and story segregation.

I'm not sure, but there might be a mod so the Imposter could do just that. In the base game, they can't change color until a new game starts and new impostors are picked.
