Now knowing he's gay in the future, in attempt of not becoming gay he becomes strictly straight, therefore making her disappear because her reality would stop existing, or she's an imposter who's just calling people gay in their future.

or this is a closed loop time thingy and going back into the past always happens so no matter what the past self does, they will always end up at the future self point going back in time for it was always meant to be.

Reminds me of the Heinlein short story -All You Zombies- .

Think about it, in the future it is going to become so easy to modify bodies or swap between bodies that the physical gender of might even change day to day depending on how they are feeling for the day, just like choosing what clothes to wear for the day.
