I mean, it makes sense that a lot of skins have an intimate feel to them. It is canon that literally every shipgirl in the game loves the commander on some level, some more than others. This is extremely apparent now that we're seeing what happened in the alternate timeline where the kansen's commander was killed; The META ships we're encountering now are what can happen when there is no Shikikan. For lack of a better term, they go berserk.

If that's the case, then the three hardest final bosses for the META system would be Akagi META, Taihou META and Roon META.
