No one outside the U.S. (me included) doesn't know about Disney+, Disneyland, Disney Channel and over all the most famous mouse worldwide? I kind of find it hard to believe. Especially with how The Disney Company strictly protects its intellectual properties.
I'm of the first ones complaining about the USA thinking of itself like the center of the world. Yet, I think it's valid to believe everyone knows about Mickey Mouse at some point in life just like they know Apple. It doesn't matter the age or location you are from.

Except this isn't about Mickey Mouse, this is about Fantasia. I haven't seen Fantasia in like 15 years. I can't even remember the last time I saw it referenced, much less actually shown on television. I wouldn't be surprised if anyone born in the last 10-20 years had no idea what Fantasia was.
I haven't personal seen something is X amount of years so OBVIOUSLY no one else has either!

literally the concept of anime was based on disney animation.
And fantasia was more or less the man's magnum opus. And that scene is pretty much the icon for the whole movie. Thinking a reference to it needs to be explained is like thinking a surface level reference to romeo and juliet needs to be explained. People know it.
