Sagara has superb sense of danger, it was shown in the novel as the agent Wraith who spy on Chidori at certain times points his/her gun at him, and he always "feel" it, then he became restless (and doing something reckless to avoid the danger as usual).
With that said, I can't understand why didn't he sense such threat from Chidori, and always ended up getting whacked by her paper fan..
he does sense chidori, but he realizes that any attempt to stop her will end up making the beating worse so he just takes the hit. he always sweats before getting hit.
