The paintjob on the sibling posts is based on a Tiger Model 1/35 AMX-10RCR kit, while I have no clue about the parent post. (The same model maker has an AMX-10RC sans suffix kit, but that one has an Operation Daguet livery, which doesn't match.) However, the markings at the lower front plate of this AMX-10RC (as well as on the one on the parent post) is bothering me immensely.

• The shapes on the rectangle indicate 'Reconnaissance, Armored' symbol (circle with a diagonal line) when it should be an 'Armored' symbol (just circle) like on the real thing, as well as the model kit cover art.
• Left of the rectangle should write 1 RS, while at its right should write 6 BLB. That would indicate it being a vehicle of the 1st Spahi Regiment, 6th Light Armoured Brigade of the French Army. (Present on the AMX-10RCR cover art, as well as the real thing, once again.) However, the numbers seem to be randomly shuffled in the parent and sibling posts, which suggests to me that it can't have been an accidental thing.

So what's going on here? I don't think the French Army would sue the artist over copyrights if they got the markings perfectly right. Or would the model kit maker do that instead? I mean, I have no idea.
