Geez, I don't even know how to feel about this anymore. On one hand he wants the old collage crush and gets rejected, (I get that is mostly on her), but on another hand he shows an interest in Douki-chan (granted she is a little slow to act on her feelings) but all these resent posts make her seem like a rebound. I mean he even canceled their plans when the girl who just rejected him came knocking again, he did start to feel guilty but still, I don't know how to feel.

It seems like it's been several years since the time in that flashback. It's WELL past the point where he's on the rebound. In fact, it seems like there were a few years between him being turned down and her showing up in his apartment and a few years between her showing up in his apartment and "now". It may well have been the person Douki-kun said he had feelings for was Douki-chan, since he seems to low-key like her even from the start of this series.
Beyond that, I'm not sure what you would have wanted from Maiko/Senpai. You want her to have cheated on her then-boyfriend, because that would have made her look better? I mean, she was put in a position where there wasn't a perfect answer.
