That's the right finger. I think you're just looking at it wrong.

That's her ring finger.

The thumb (should be) behind the guy's left hand, then moving to (our) right is index, middle, *ring* (with the ring), and pinky.

For a moment there you had me thinking the hands were on backwards.

I think it's the wrist/forearm that's throwing people off. That joint just doesn't appear to come together well, so you have to look twice.
