I know this game is insanely popular, but is it actually a good play?
It's entirely made up of tons of exploring and simple puzzles, the only story there is beyond theorizing is... well, the title of the game, and the subject matter will be lost on you if you go into it thinking you're getting a game with even an average amount of gameplay.
A good PLAY? Not really. Out of all the people I got to play it, approximately half of them dropped it in half an hour because it was "boring". A good source of food-for-thought? Abso-fucking-lutely. If you like pondering on stuff, especially dreams or other trippy/twisted subjects, this is a delicious treat. Yume Nikki is fantastic.
